Health is not valued till sickness comes

Thomas Fuller

This was never more evident to Alexander than when he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 2013. A keen footballer and sportsman he started experiencing some unsettling symptoms whilst engaging in varying forms of exercise and daily tasks. Following numerous tests, he received a terrifying diagnosis and bleak prognosis for the future..

With a young family, he refused to give up hope and took the decision to embark on a journey of recovery and healing. Initially he incorporated lifestyle changes which gave him a new relationship with food, exercise (he found a love for running!) and a daily meditation practice. At the time, this felt like radical change… but it was only just the beginning.

Over the years he has continued to explore varied ways to aid healing within his body, incorporating a truly holistic approach to recovery. It has involved much unlearning, the shedding of preconceptions around health and wellbeing… and then relearning how to re-connect with the body and nature to regain vitality.

Alexander has developed a relationship with several healing practices over time, including Kambo, Ultra Running, Breathwork, Cold Water Immersion, Yoga, Acupuncture, Talking Therapy, Sound Healing, Neurofeedback Therapy, Reiki etc…  Over time the restorative effects of Reiki resonated with him and led him to explore the practice beyond being a recipient. The intuitive allure of the Reiki Precepts have become part of his daily life and he qualified as a Reiki Practitioner in 2021.

Alexander now offers both in person and distance Reiki treatments from his healing home in Islington, North London.
